Howto Detect DVD-Drive?

After searching for quite a while, I now fond a sample for enumerating CD-Drives and displaying all necessary infos: SAMPLE: Enumerate CD Drives and Get Their Properties/Capabilities

CD drive detection sample is half-useful. Of course, one can enumerate all CD/DVD drives, but the problem is how to get their capabilities. SCSI_PASSRTROUGH (used in the sample) in Win2K+ only works for admin login and should not be considered for mass software for that reason.
