Jet (Access) is not supported on x64...

After porting a simply “Access-Import-Programm” from x86 to x64 I noticed that x64 does not have any driver for Jet (OleDB) installed… after searching for a while I found this post in which a PM of MS has told that there will never be support for Jet on x64…

Quote: There is no way to access a .mdb database from 64bit. It has been decided to not port the Microsoft Jet Database engine to 64Bit.

Also there is a bug-report on this issue on ladybug

By the way: The current solution is to run your programm as x86 version… If you have a .NET 2.0 program, you need to sepcify the target-processor to x86 (default is “Any”)...

Very bad ;-(
