.NET Framework 3.0 is just a marketing gag!!!

There will be **no** .NET 3.0 in the near future; MS just renamed the WinFX components to .NET 3.0

The fundamental of all this .NET 3.0 stuff is still .NET 2.0. ”.NET 3.0” only means the additional components (WPF, WCF, WWF, WCS) which are completely based on the current .NET 2.0 (maybe they need some hotfixes or they will deliver a servicepack).

So it is just a marketing gag from MS to rename WinFX to .NET 3.0…

So I think, we can also expect to get almost the same version of .NET with the next version of Visual Studio (Orcas).
